All operators must demonstrate through theory and practical hands-on exposure, their ability to safely operate a forklift in their work environment(s) through Safe Work Practices and Procedures as a Competent Forklift Operator in compliance with both the Occupational Health and Safety Act & Regulations stated under the CSA B335.1, 1977. The course also reflects requirement(s) of CSA B335-04 Industrial Lift Truck Operator Training, REAFFIRMED 2004.Employers are responsible to ensure the operator(s) be provided the required instruction to demonstrate Forklift / Lift Truck operation Safe Work Practices and Procedures under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
•Operation and safety features of the forklift / lift truck the operator will use•Operator safety and all site specific safety issues at the work place•Maintenance, fuel sources and procedures (battery operation and propane)•Written test (maybe retaken as necessary) •Workbook providedWhen written test has been successfully completed, operator(s) will be scheduled for practical hands-on Forklift / Lift Truck operator training and evaluation at their work environment.
•Pre-operational inspection •Operating lift truck in work environmentThis training program is tailored to industrial and warehouse customers, providing an excellent service with minimal work time interference.
